CRAVEN necklace in Cobalt Blue and Soft Grey with Silver

I am constantly inspired by the designers and artists of the 1950's and 1960's. I love their use of bold geometric shapes and fine lines, and I find that this aesthetic translates well into fabric and stitch.

This semi-circular pendant is inspired by designs, patterns and colours used by artists and designers of the 1950's and 1960's.

The pendant is made from a Soft Grey linen and is fully interfaced to provide structure. I have bound the edges using embroidery threads in Cobalt Blue and Soft Grey. This is suspended beneath a hammered Silver bar and hung from a chain of Sterling Silver.

I have enamelled the Silver bar to prevent tarnishing. All findings are Sterling Silver. The pendant measures 70x35mm and the chain is 22" long trace chain.
