MAHLER necklace No 7
£60.00 - £68.00
I have been exploring the use of printing techniques in the 1950's and 1960's. This led me to look at some amazing designers, such as Marion Mahler after whom this necklace is named.
The pendant is made with an Indigo linen and is fully interfaced to provide support. I have stitched geometric shapes with the fabric on a hoop and then bound the edges using embroidery threads in Blush and Goldenrod.
This is suspended under a hammered brass bar and hung from a chain of gold vermeil (sterling silver plated with 18ct gold). I have enamelled the brass bar to prevent tarnishing. All findings are 18ct gold vermeil.
The pendant measures 90x50mm and the chain is 24" long trace chain.
