Made To Order.

This embroidery was inspired by Mid-century pattern design. I love using collaged shapes to create well balanced compositions. I then like to create flow and texture within the shapes by using different threads and wool.

I have used several different embroidery stitches to create this modern sampler, using an Ochre tapestry wool, and embroidery threads in Indigo, Off White and Charcoal.

The wall hanging measures 30x25cm. Including the brass piece, the hanging is 32cm high. The fabric is an untreated cotton burlap and has been stretched over a wooden frame. There is an enamelled brass piece at the top which can be used to hang the piece.
